BAR Short Trigger Gun 5000psi Built-In Swivel

I really want to love this gun. I did a lot of research and was excited to get it. Note that while YouTube has many videos on replacing valves etc (which highlight two good points about this gun - its serviceability and the metal pin fixing the trigger to metal internals - unlike plastic to plastic MTM) none show its swivel in use. But it’s a German made Suttner 2300 - solidly made, great internals. Surely the swivel would be great! Same body as Mosmatic (which use Suttner casings). Detail Store value adds by adding a (apparently) stainless outlet qc. However after two uses I can say the factory swivel is useless. It barely moves even before connection. Bear in mind you are paying most of the price for the swivel. On the bargroup wholesale website, the swivel gun is $138 and the non swivel one is $61 (pre gst and delivery - so detail store is an excellent price especially given it attracts free shipping too). There is no real performance difference gained through this expensive but non moving, resistant “swivel”. The swivel is the first reason to buy an aftermarket add on gun (or second if you want the greater reach of a short gun). It is very disappointing and frustrating to see my uberflex hose coil up as as I use this gun. Also, this gun leaked badly on all three quick connect fitting points so those needed to be reassembled (which other reviews note too). There was a minimal amount of tape used which I rectified. This is a Suttner 2300 which is a benchmark professional German made gun. You are getting close to a Mosmatic gun (they use Suttner casing but have Swiss swivel and more advanced trigger tech) for half the price. 4 stars not 5 because after only 1 use the swivel is very stiff and not very useful. Hopefully it will get smoother with use. My other gripe is I had to refit all of the attachments (one at inlet to swivel, 2 at outlet) as they leaked as supplied and had almost no tape. This gun also does not have Suttner’s relaxed trigger tech, but I find the trigger to be perfectly comfortable. A rugged tool that is particularly good value with the apparently stainless outlet quick connect supplied. I haven’t opened mine up but YouTube vids suggest the trigger is particularly strong with 2 pins mounting it to the brass internal (MTMs are just plastic trigger in plastic housing hole). I totally nerded out researching pre purchase and am glad I got this one, just wish the swivel wasn’t such a disappointment.
