    Excellent wax applicator for soft, delicate paint

    This is an excellent applicator for wax coatings on modern, extremely soft and delicate paints. The foam is very smooth and soft - softer than even the finest of finishing pads - so it is all but impossible to mar even the most delicate of finishes. You will immediately notice how much smoother and softer this is compared to the more common circular applicator pads used for sealant and wax applications. The pad cleans up 100% after use and provides an excellent ergonomic feel. My only criticism (and the reason for four instead of five stars) is that I really wish it were smaller. The pad is around 12 cm long but even large circular wax jars that I have seen tend to be around 10 cm in diameter. That means if you want to easily apply the wax to the pad evenly from a circular wax jar (as you would with the more common circular pucks), you have to cut the pad down - which is a little challenging because the foam is so soft and rubbery (plain old scissors seem to work the best). If the company produced a version 9 cm long, I'd give it five stars with zero hesitation!
