Shipping policy

🚚 Shipping & Delivery Policy

📦 Standard Delivery

  • 3–7 business days for most areas

  • WA, NT & North QLD: 5–8 business days

  • Delays may occur during holidays or courier disruptions

🏬 Click & Collect (VIC only)

  • Ready within 24 hours (Mon–Fri, excl. holidays)

  • Email confirmation when your order is ready

  • Bring your confirmation email + photo ID

  • Authorising someone else? Email us first
    ⚠️ Orders not collected within 90 days may be disposed of


⚡ Express Delivery Options

  • Express Post: 1–4 business days (order before 12 PM AEST)

  • StarTrack Express: 1–3 business days (order before 11 AM AEST)

    • Default: Safe Drop (left in a safe place)

    • If unsafe → Courier will take parcel to a depot for collection
      ⚠️ StarTrack cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes or Parcel Lockers. Use Australia Post Express instead.


⏳ Processing Time

  • Orders processed in 1–2 business days (up to 5 days during sales)

  • Processing time is separate from delivery time

  • Pre-orders: Entire order ships once stock is available


🎁 Free Shipping (Australia Only)

Free on orders over $150 — conditions apply:

  • Up to 16.99kg → Free to VIC & metro. Regional areas: 30% fee

  • 17–40kg → Customer covers 50% (VIC/NSW/TAS/SA/ACT) or 70% (WA/QLD/NT). Store contribution capped at $60

  • Over 40kg → Customer pays full shipping (custom quote may apply)

❌ Free shipping does not apply to:

  • Express deliveries

  • Remote postcodes

  • Bulky items (e.g. pressure washers, hose reels, mounts, infrared lights)

  • International orders


🔍 Tracking & Delivery Issues

  • Tracking emailed once your order ships

  • For updates: Contact the courier with your tracking number

  • Still stuck? Email us at hello@detailstore.com.au

🚫 Damaged parcels → Reject at delivery if possible, otherwise contact us
🚫 Lost/Stolen parcels → Not covered unless insurance was selected at checkout


📜 Other Terms

  • Stock Availability: Out-of-stock items ship later, or we’ll contact you

  • Address Changes / Order Amendments: Request within 1 hour of placing order

  • P.O. Box Deliveries: Only via Australia Post

  • International Orders: 10+ business days. Import duties/taxes may apply

  • Cancellations: Accepted before dispatch. After dispatch → Refund policy applies

  • Insurance: Optional at checkout for peace of mind
