The blue heavy cutting pad has an ultra high density foam suited for jobs requiring heavy paint correction.
The green cutting pad has a high density foam suited for jobs requiring heavy paint correction.
The orange/yellow polishing pad has a medium density foam suited for slight to medium paint correction. It is used after cutting to remove heavy swirl marks created when cutting.
The red/white finishing pad is ideal for the application of sealants and waxes after polishing to bring through that gloss and new car shine.
Combine this with a suitable heavy cutting compound to tackle medium to heavy oxidation and moderate scratches.
The 6" pads suit your 5" backing plates, similarly the 7" pads are suited for 6" backing plates.

Paired with 3D one did a great job of one-step cleaning up near new paint for coating. Slightly less cut than I was expecting which is good to be on the safe side
