Nex PTG is a professional car paint thickness gauge, effective in operation and easy to use, which allows you to make quick and, most importantly, precise measurements. The Nex PTG meter enables testing of steel, galvanized steel and aluminum surfaces. It is worth emphasizing that the varnish sensor automatically recognizes the tested substrate. In addition, the paint thickness gauge we offer has a number of additional innovative options that will help the user to examine the vehicle more easily and efficiently.

The Professional version makes measurements with even greater accuracy than the Standard and Advanced versions. In addition, the Professional gauge has a number of options that will help the user to examine a vehicle more efficiently and more effectively, including:

NexPTG has a dedicated application. You can install it on any mobile device equipped with iOS or Android. The dedicated application will allow you to examine the lacquer coat with unprecedented accuracy and precision.

Thanks to the Lacquer Coating Analysis System you can analyse the lacquer on the surface of the entire body in an instant, and the application will help you interpret the results of measurements.

    Solid unit - easy to use and accurate

    Paint thickness gauge is very easy to use and gives high accuracy results, was able to see paint thickness differences from Toyota (-90um) to BMW (-120um) through to Porsche (130um). Also identifies substrate material as steel / galv steel / aluminium plus correctly identified resprayed areas. Gauge actually tells you this also. Great to if buying a new car or just obsessing over taking off too much clear :)

    Only downside at this price point is no plastic substrates / bumpers. But you need to invest $2k and up for that.

    Gamer changer

    It has helped us out so much and it looks great infront of customers too. You would not believe how thin some new car paint jobs are. Saved us some real pain of correcting too far on what seems like new and thick paint

    Amazing little unit

    Easy to setup, easy roo use, simple.interfacs but powerful tool, the reports generated sre impressive. A must have for any serious paint correction technician
